Every time someone reads this book, the world is a little better.

Discover your higher consciousness where you already possess freedom, abundance, clarity and good will.

The third edition of Under the Plum Tree by Chung Fu is now in print, edited by Marjorie B. Giles and published by Inkwell, Dobbins, CA. Chung Fu is a teacher from the Chuang Tse school, following Lao Tse in China during the Fourth Century BPE. Chung Fu is now channeled by Sally Pullinger in Glastonbury, UK. During a reading in November 2009, Chung Fu thanked Marjorie for her collaboration with him and urged her to continue her life’s work on Tao and her personal writing, that it would “flow easily into the world as a food, to change things.”

Zen students and Tibetan Buddhists will find similarities and enhancements in these teachings. Tao principles form the basis of Tai Chi, Feng Shui and other ancient disciplines.

Chung Fu teaches that fter you circumvent the flawed belief systems of your subconscious mind your higher self is revealed to you. The higher self is found within every individual. Every individual is immortal and flawless. Chung Fu shows how to reach the truth of yourself and the world outside.

Under the Plum Tree may be ordered at Amazon.com and Amazon International, in print and ebook forms, or for autographed copies, from the publisher, www.inkwellbooks.com.

Is your subconscious mind rattling your cage?

Does mindless materialism drive you to work every day?

You can step beyond all that negativity without any help from anyone; only your higher self.

First relax, really relax with your feet on the floor, then examine what you believe, as in: "Oh, I can't paint. I can't even draw a straight line;" "Poverty is self-inflicted." Have a look at what you dislike most among your "enemies." You may find peers among them, and a breakthrough to a higher consciousness. Freedom from negativity is yours for the asking. You have the answers within yourself. Just circumvent your subconscious mind; go around it to your true self.

OUR TROLL August 29, 2010

Our Troll

By David Giles

Silhouetted against a hazy moonlit sky one night, I saw a troll; not a dwarf Danish or Swedish troll but rather a giant Norwegian forest troll. Ugly to be sure--as trolls are supposed to be--but not fearsome at all. It peered down benevolently from its height of some 135 feet. My wife and I consider it a guardian spirit. Some observer friends see a troll, others merely an ordinary Ponderosa pine. Several see an eye like a full moon facing north. Only one person has felt unease in its presence, possibly her subconscious mind at work, wrecking her spiritual education. We’ve tendered it a gift today, placing a chunk of amethyst at its feet.

The Inkwell Partnership

The Inkwell partnership was founded in April 1989 by David N. Giles, illustrator, and Marjorie B. Gordon, writer. They became partners, then spouses, after the successful publication of Changes in Harmony: An Illustrated History of Northern California by Marjorie Gordon. Northridge, CA: Windsor, 1988. David prepared maps as well as portraits, drawings and aerial photography.

Marjorie is an award winning essayist and former president of California Writers Club, Sacramento Chapter. For 25 years she was employed in biophysics and molecular biology research laboratories, then left to study creative writing at San Francisco State University; BA, English 1980.

Marjorie contracted polio while pioneering biophysics at Yale in 1950 and uses a wheelchair. After two years recovering, she secured a position at the new Stanley Laboratory, U. C. Berkeley, and raised and supported her children.

After moving to the Sierra foothills, Marjorie wrote weekly columns for the Rabbit Creek Journal, Yuba-Sutter Appeal Democrat and other periodicals.

David Giles trained first as an artist at CSU Chico; B.A. Art 1964 and served as medical and technical illustrator for the US Army at Tacoma, Washington and Heidelberg, Germany during the Vietnam war. He later earned a Graphic Design Certificate at University of California, Davis.

From 1969-1991, Giles worked for Department of Social Services and survived the stress by creating distinctive cartoons. Then, after several years of substitute teaching, Giles realized he had found his true calling and entered graduate school in 1998 to obtain both multiple and single subject teaching credentials. He taught Social Studies and art at K-12 gold country schools, Pliocene Ridge and Downieville.

As activists, Marjorie and David founded a non-profit organization, Enabled Artists United (EAU), to insure access for all at educational, performance and exhibition venues.
